Cooccurring Disorders Clinical Strategies and Case Assessments Phil Feldman PhD 9781520454504 Books Reviews
This manual is an informative and practical guide that translates beautifully to clinical practice. Most text books and manuals I have had do not seem to apply to the type of work I do on a daily basis, and I feel that this manual consists of every and any aspect that could arise in substance abuse treatment or dual-diagnosis treatment. The manual includes information on the many dynamics that co-occur when treating a patient for substance use, such as family dynamics, character strengths, history of abuse, readiness to change, emotional disorders, environmental influences, and personality and behavioral factors. It even includes practical information on toxicology testing and patient safety. Overall, an excellent and instructional manual.
A must read manual that intelligently covers the basics of co-occurring disorders.
